Should they?

WRONG

People should be held accountable for their own actions.

Why does everyone want to bass the buck for the stupid shit they do?

I guess the next step would be something like someone walking up to a Burger King counter, ordering a Big Mac, and then being told, "Sorry sir (or mam) looks like you've had one too many already."

That would be an interesting story considering you can not get Big Macs at Burger King but I do get your point. In this litigation led society trial lawyers are just looking for more sources of income because apparently there are way too many of them to all make a living.

Sure, It's the bartenders fault I'm an alcoholic, costing me years in therapy and AA . Not to mention, the years I spent underemployed, when I could have acheived so much more earlier in life. Don't misunderstand, I have done very well for myself since. But just imagine where I would be if weren't for them damn bartenders. I'm going to see my lawyer tomorrow.

People that drink and drive are endangering all of us. I think that whomever is giving drunks more alcohol and then letting them go without knowing how they will get home is being irresponsible. Personal responsiblity goes only so far, and when drunks, drug addicts and the like fail to curb their bad behavior, we all have to pay, sometimes with our lives.

Bars/Bartenders are already liable in Pennsylvania for over serving patrons; there is no way a drunk is ever going to admit that he/she is a drunk and they believe that they are able to get into their vehicle and drive safely home.

Someone has to make a grown up decision and decide to stop a drunk from their next drink; their next drink here is a cup or pot of coffee and normally someone is set up to take them home from the bar.

it is a wrong to say that the bar is responsible. however, if you look at it in a negative way how do you know that the bartender inst purposely over serving to make money .. but yet were all adults.. who knows

If you want to stop drunk driving just put a breathalyzer kill in the car's ignition circut. In order for the car to start it has to have a clean breath sample. I've seen this setup in Missouri on multiple conviction DD vehicles.
