invictus says: An interesting story but as a lefty, I didn't like the comment about the link between left-handedness and schizophrenia. Interesting to know, Invictus. As a fellow lefty, I too am not too keen on the schizo comment. Lefties are know for their creative artsy-fartsiness, and I'm the farthest thing from artsy-fartsy so I think that lefties just like to be different so yay. Dr Francks said left-handed people should not be worried by the links between handedness and schizophrenia.Oh, well, Dr. Francks said not to worry about it. My husband is a lefty. I'm keeping my eye on him. now i finally understand the correlation between speaking "left" ideas & carrying the "right" emotions .... What a weird article. First they tell you that having the gene and being left-handed makes a person a higher risk for schizophrenia...and then it tells you not to be worried about it. I agree....don't be worried about it. I have a husband who is ambidextrous and a son, who on a whim, decided he wanted to be left-handed, so taught himself to write with that hand. Now, what does that say? I'm more of a nut-case than they'll ever imagine to be. :~) Another lefty here. Schizophrenic - no. Slightly mad - aren't we all?! I had two lefty parents but I survived unscathed. Huh.. At first i thought the story was going to be about a gene they found that makes people more reasonable & open-minded (ie: leftist)... that would have been scary though.. i'm sure the bush admin & their cronies would have found a way of getting DNA samples to test potential government employees... Oh! your a lefty.. nope.. you think too freely.. no job for you.. in fact, we'll add you to "the list". But no.. the story is just about those weird left handed freaks Oh, CatWhisperer, I thought all the American "lefties" were moving to Canada to hang out with you. |
