skwirlinator says: I was impressed with this. I liked the SciFi of it all. The acting was inredible and I wish I had seen this at the theaters. The creatures in this movie interest me because they are possibilities of what could be found as life on another planet. I refuse to believe the universe is populated with anything human-like. I read this story many years ago. It was so creepy. They had a text-based computer game based on this story too (many years ago) (remember those type, Skwirl?). I saw this at the theater and thought they did a really good job bringing it to the screen. Then ending is different than the short story, so heartbreaking. I streamed it last night. I had no idea how good it was. I don't read much King but I do like the movies that come from his works. He has patterns that are clearly to be seen. I was reminded of Mr Grey at the loading dock scene and Pennywise in the pharmacy. While I was expecting something at the end, I was expecting what I saw. A tear in the dimensional barrier would be much worse but this is a good start. Science is fast approaching this as a possibility. Only it will be much worse. My scifi mind is racing at the possibilities. While I was expecting something at the end, I was expecting what I saw. While I was expecting something at the end, I wasn't expecting what I saw. King has some classic spooky stories, Skwirl. I always get excited when one of my favorites is being made into a movie. They usually do a pretty good job on his stories. Survivor Type is one of my favorites. I also really liked The Long Walk, written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. King has a terrificly long list of stories made into movies or tv shows. Just watched it again. Still awesome! |
