clipette says: my friend Mary gave me a book on ADD to look at but I was too distracted to read it. i'm sure everyone can relate to a handful of things on this list at different times..ADD gets tossed around so easily now-a-days... Is the first time I see a list about ADD...Thank you... ADD is no joke. If you think you might have it, get screened by a competent and qualified tester. There are ways of dealing with it that don't involve drugs. A-D-D-E-R-A-L-L rules! ADD, the cross between anxiety and hyperactivity? I want to respond to the comment that suggests that everyone has a handful of these symptoms at times. This is of course true. The difference with someone with ADD/ADHD is that these are persistent symptoms that do not come and go. I echo the comment that you cannot diagnose yourself from a list on the internet, or even in a book. These lists that you can find all over the web are a good starting point, and if you answer positively to a majority of the items on the list, make an appointment with a mental health care professional who can make a definitive diagnosis. |
