I love hats. My problem is getting one that fits my oversized head.

I have the same issue as brazilnut72, an oversize noggin. I, however, don't love hats. I wear a hat to keep my head warm, or to conceal my hair if I haven't had a chance to shampoo. In summer, I don't have hair, and generally warmth is not an issue. I will wear a hat in summer to guard against prolonged exposure and sunburn, but it is always a pragmatic decision for me, never a stylistic choice.

CHAIRMAN:
...Which brings us once again to the urgent realization of just how much there is still left to own. Item six on the agenda: the meaning of life. Now, uh, Harry, you've had some thoughts on this.
HARRY:
That's right. Yeah, I've had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and, uh, what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts. One: people are not wearing enough hats. Two: matter is energy. In the universe, there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this soul does not exist ab initio, as orthodox Christianity teaches. It has to be bro...

When I was younger I always wore a Greek Fisherman's Cap. I bought 3 when I was in Greece and I loved them till they disintergrated. Stateside ones couldn't compare so i gave them up.

I did some 30 years back wear a knit Portuguese fisherman's cap which Mom brought back from... Portugal of all places. It somewhat resembled what kids wear as style around here, sort of a helmet look with a pom-pom on top and with ear flaps but without the dangling strings and fuzzy balls common today. I doubt that I was a style setter for the kids, and at the time people looked at me as if I were from Mars. I liked that part. Kept them guessing.

I'm a hat-head. My head hasn't met a hat that didn't suit it. Hmm, that sounds nasty. All I've owned is a toque for the winter (about 1 per winter, I keep losing it) and a baseball cap in the summer, of course, worn back-to-front.

The cowboy hat made a come back here in SA not too long ago.
i think I'll go with a top hat for formal occasions, and the good old pirates hat, for everyday use.

Ah, hats are just one thing. Men who know how to accessorize are either gay or 'proper' gentlemen

Back in the day, when I lived in Chicago I had a emerald green gangsta' hat like the one Bogey is wearing . I
thought I was really 'bad'. I have to say, men really took
notice.
