I can clearly see that she initially refused to comply with his instructions to put her hands behind her back so she deserved that one.

Then she was trying to kick out his windows (Interference w/Govt Property - a Felony in Georgia) so she deserved that one too.

So then he tells her, "You're gonna walk to your car or you're gettin tasered again." So she must've not walked to where he told her to and he tased her again. But here's where I start to have a problem with it (as a 20yr veteran and a police supervisor). Since she was handcuffed at that point, perhaps it would've been more appropriate to physically guide her over to where he wanted her to walk rath...

As to her injuries upon falling under taser effects: if he is found to have used unnecessary/unreasonable force, it's on him and his agency. But if he's found to have used necessary and reasonable force, it's on her.

The Taser is a great tool and saves lives. It get's a lot of really bad press (mostly out of ignorance).

The fact that he's on administrative leave doesn't speak one way or the other to the administration's opinion of his actions. It's standard procedure and during the investigation of any high profile/high stress incident an officer doesn't need to be out on the street with his mind occupied with anything but the street. Otherwise he could get hurt or make a bad decision.

You can't be too quick to judge an officer's actions solely on the video.

Cops aren't robots. They do have emotions and can lose their patience. But if that happens, they can be held accountable both criminally and civily. It's a crazy, wonderful, aggravating, fun, thankless, very rewarding, low paying, 98% boredom, 2% insanity, great job! I love it

And as with any other position in life, there's good ones and bad ones.
