Good point...about the disappearing smile, that is.

I wonder how much more difficult it would be for a woman!

This is why it is impossible to please God by works. It is not in keeping a bunch of rules and regulations for it is burdensome as proven by this clip. What is required is faith and trust in Jesus who made atonement for our sins. It is because of His sacrifice that we are no longer under the curse of the law. For NONE are righteous no not one. If the commandments could have brought about salvation there would have been no need for Jesus to die. It was because of the law that the sinfulness of man became obvious. It was in trying to keep the law that this man found the futility in this kind of works salvation.

It is by the grace of God through Christ Jesus we are saved from the curse of the law. It is not by works or this man would have room to boast about keeping all those laws.
And how exactly does bloodshed make everything better again? I mean, how does (never mind just changing the laws to something decent in the first place) killing someone in a brutal fashion change the guilt of another?

See, it's not the problem that eating lobster for lunch is an abomination to a god, but how does the killing of another living being make that abomination go away?

Do you have any children? Would it be fair to brutally kill one of your children...in order to wash away the guilt of Saddam Hus...
