and... and the point that everyone has made to you in probably all of the other clips about abortion that i've seen in the last week or so is that if it were WOMEN taking away a MAN's right, this would be an entirely different conversation. i'm sorry if you don't see it that way, but really, that's just common sense. it's really easy for a man to say what a woman should do when it's not his body, not his experience. why is this so hard to understand? We aren't talking about the woman's body. We are talking about a third person's body. A person, who up until a few days ago, it was perfectly legal to stab in the base of the skull and suck out their brains. it depends on when you start calling it a person. it depends on what reason someone needs to have the procedure that was banned (please see this clip.). do i think that it's wrong to abort a fetus that can live outside the woman's body? yes. you should have made the abortion decision before. the poster i clipped is not just talking about late-term abortion, but all abortion. /clipmark/E693F6E2-6C36-4BC9-9790-E2E1E9681448/ When does science say it is a living human being? That should be what matters. When are we talking about the mother, and when are we talking about ending the life of a separate, perfectly healthy, human being with DNA that differs from that of the mother. I like the poster... well done Abortions should be safe, legal, and as few as possible. Too bad conservatives don't do as much about the side of education, family planning, and access to birth control to help minimize unwanted pregnancies. Ability to support the child is another factor so what do conservatives do in the south, cut access to medicare and medicade. Tax cuts for the rich. If men could get pregnant there would still be a debate but it wouldn't be heard by the Supreme Court and it wouldn't be debated in Congress. Few men would allow a law to be passed dictating that they could not be in control of their own bodies. abortion is not just a woman's issue. men are on an equal footing to make decisions on abortion. or are you suggesting a woman's voice has more bearing on the issue of abortion? 23% of anti-abortion leaders are women. I also like the poster. Abortion is not for me personally, however I do think that we should all have the option & choice of it. Good point made though ! ! ! |
