boozich says: apologies if i offend..but is it me being a simple bloke that i find this slightly funny? Actually it's a nice story but your headline seems ..... well, I'll leave it at that. Yes, it is a nice story. A lovely act of true humanity. As a metaphor it offers both hope and an indictment of global inequality. And any way, kindness is pretty well always good. good on her,!!! Very nice of her. Agree....actually if you read the whole story, at the end Salma reflects " she had been inspired by a story of her great-grandmother.... was in a Mexican village and they found a woman in the street who was crying and the baby was also crying...'My great-grandmother asked what the matter was and the mother said, 'She is very, very hungry and I have no more milk'. 'And in the street, my great-grandmother breastfed that baby who instantly stopped crying and went peacefully to sleep. I was really impressed by that story.' Selma Hyek is a true humanitarian who isn't afraid to give help that is needed now not just an appearance or a cash donation. Ditto to all above , she,s couragous and a great personality. She should be an inspiration to many others, she's a living Pachamama ^_^ It's quite okay, reminds me of the policewoman who nursed all the babies when the terrible earthquake struck China. Nice headline... & kudos to Salma! |
