You do have to wonder about this apparent American predeliction to take pictures and make videos of it's own war crimes, like Abu Gharib.

Nevertheless, there is lots of flack about this and it's story has only just begun. It seems:
1. Lawyers in a federal court case asked for this type of evidence.
2. The 9/11 Commision asked for this type of evidence.
3. The White House number one lawyer at the time said NOT to destroy these tapes.

There are apparent potential crimes, therefore, of perjury and/or obstruction of justice. Not to mention that "waterboarding" (bring someone to the point of drowning) is against the Geneva Conventions and was a war crime for which Japanese soldiers were hung by...

One clear fact, to many, though, is that our USA General who is the head of the CIA is an idiot. The excuse that the CIA wanted to "protect the identity" of the torturers strikes many as instantly absurd: A 14-year old kid with Photoshop could disguise the identity of people on a videotape.

TV News does is All the Time. So to tell the nation this is the reason the tapes were destroyed...gads...can't the CIA come up with better lies and excuses that that!!

Thank God many Congressmen have jumped on this and that an one investigation, by the USA Attorney General's office has started to sniff around; plus another investigation, a Congressional Investigation is also expected.

I say, "Thank God," because there are so many evils of current USA leadership that it would take all day to even just to list them, and then tomorrow it would take all day to keep it all up-to-date (liek today that guy, Irving (so-called: 'Scooter') Libby dropped his appeal in a previous big case involving the White House trying to cover up the use and fabrication of deliberate lies about WMD's....the rather misnamed: "CIA-leak case," (because a CIA agents name was leaked as part of this White House coverup).

So it goes on and on and on
