The problem with right wingers all over the world is that they love war and killing. Hence their preference for more soldiers to the killing fields of Afghanistan over more money for health care. This is a universal trait that I have noticed in right wingers around the world: They all suffer from paranoia. They have a certain type of caveman mentality, where everyone on the other side of the ocean is considered to be an enemy. This of course makes it easy for unscrupulous politicians to sell countless wars to them on the basis of "national security". Well that and the fact that there is really no substitute for a real, honest-to-goodness war once in a while to relieve the hatred the right wingers have for all they perceive as weak, soft and effeminate, including peace, love and understanding. Are people born right wingers, or do they become right wingers by indoctrination? What is your view on this? I suppose you could say that our parents are instrumental in forming our early ideologies, but life's experience can change that. Conservatism clings to what has been established, All I know is that that the extreme right wingers, the racists, the gay haters, the warmongers that I knew 20 years ago are still exactly the same today. No amount of reasoning, no facts, no logic seems to be able to get through to them. Their opinions are seldom based on facts. Should they use facts in an argument, those facts are normally distorted beyond any recognition to suit their 'viewpoint'. Most of the time they suffer from a deep distrust of the rest of the world. They fear everything that is strange and out of the ordinary. I met many of them during the South African border war in Namibia. In the military bases they displayed large posters: "Ons saak is reg. God is aan ons kan... If we are speaking of Neocons, they look much like human but there, the similarity ends. They do not exhibit such attributes as moderation, empathy, pragmatism, nor common sense. @Aperiozar: Are you for real? If so, I may be in love. PLEEZE say you are a lesbian, pretty please?
