I offer in good faith Kafka's parable of parables. Ultimately it is the individual's deepest choice whether to heed eschatological warnings as literal or whether to
search deeper yet in parabolic descent. And yet too is that third and most mysterious possibility of finding in parable the certainty of the literal's own parobolicity, that squirrels are not only parobly harbingers of end days but too and certainly the promise of a liberation we can but dimly perceive through their workings of which we know nothing.
