Maybe it's cause I'm a big fan of Google, but I don't think this is cool at all. It feels like an anti-Microsoft ad. Huh? Maybe it's because I'm used to the subway ads in NYC, but to me, there's no way this could be mistaken for a "grassroots" organization. Instead it looks like one of those teaser campaigns run by large organizations whose purpose is to get you to visit a website. When you do visit information-revolution.org, the Ask logo is prominently displayed. I don't see anything underhanded about this -- at worst, a weak attempt at edginess and cleverness. |
