So where is the outrage libs?

David A. Paterson defiantly vowed to run for election next year despite the White House‘s urging that he withdraw from the New York governor’s race.

And he should run for governor. Why the hell not? Or whatever office he chooses, despite whatever "racial" conflicts the Democrats may have with this man.

It's got nothing to do with race or disability. It's got everything to do with poll numbers.

Paterson is very unpopular and would very likely lose the governor's race to a Republican.

Andrew Cuomo, on the other hand, has high approval ratings and would very likely defeat the Republican.

Stop race-baiting.

"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African-American," Carter told "NBC Nightly News."

Now, for the big question. If Obama is trailing in the polls come 2012, will he step aside for a white democrat who polls better against potential republican candidates?

A sitting president does not normally step aside for anybody.

But this president seems to put polls and party power above the fact someone is an executive officer. He is asking an executive officer to step down a year in advance based on polls, so I am simply asking if he would be willing to do the same.

OMG! Obama is a politician!

That said, I have no idea what the president would do if his approval rating was below 20% and two-thirds of Democrats didn't want him to run (a la Paterson).

I would like to think that like LBJ, he would stand aside and let other Democrats (irregardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, height, weight, or eye color) vie for the nomination, rather than hand the White House back to the GOP.
