The Bush administration is obsessed with Iran. It makes no never mind to them if Saudi Arabia has nukes, because, after all, they are on OUR side, right? Israel has a huge nuclear capability, but they are on OUR side, right? The list goes on. But Iran must be destroyed before they can even hope to experiment with nuclear power. After all, the survival of the world depends on that, right?

Seriously, I don't recall the Saudi officials stating that they want to wipe Israel off the planet. I just haven't heard that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

In my opinion this has nothing to do with Iran's insane, inconsequential president making his hateful statements about Israel or Jews. This guy does not even have much power in his own country. He runs the country as much as you run yours. He is simply up there for show, while the Mullahs run the business and policy of the country.

All that being said however, I do not consider Iran any friend of Israel of the U.S. However, if we are against the proliferation and use of nuclear weapons, than we should be absolute about it. Not pick and choose the countries we select for condemnation. I object to Iran having nuclear weapons, as I object to Israel, Pakistan, India etc, etc etc having them as well.

If it was up to me, I'd abolish all nukes but I'm sure almost every commoner feels that way. They don't do any good. Much like capital punishment. You make some good points after clarification.
