Great prose Mug, but of course that is what good writing is all about.

Which reminds me of a valuable bit of writing wisdom I read long ago: "There is no good writing, only good rewriting".

When I first read that quote I felt affronted, but after reflection I realized that what the writer was conveying was that like everything else worthwhile in this life just a little more creative effort will shine through.

The trick is to know when to stop rewriting.

3 appears to be the magic number, although it is up to each writer to decide when to stop, if at all.

You don't need to stop writing. You simply just can't...the feelings and the emotions getting converted into words, phrases and paragraphs feels amazingly wonderful and the flood of relief when an article etc. shall get into a final shape needs to be experienced at first hand to understand the value of it!
