Wasn't that tried in World War II to build an Aryan race (Lebensborn program) and also eliminate the substandard humans be they mentally retarded, bi-polar, schizophrenic, gypsies, Jewish, disabled, etc.? The words in the clip are the foundation of Progressivism. They are the words of Darwin. Social Darwinism has formed the basis of some of the most vicious political movements of recent times. It has influenced Marxism in its various flavours, National Socialism, the Eugenics Movement among others. Darwin was not the objective rationalist that he is made out to be. He was as much influenced by the prejudices of his time as anyone. He dabbled in 'spiritualism', as many victorians did. Great thinkers are not Gods and great theories should not be regarded as dogmas. Darwins ideas should be open to reappraisal, modification, criticism, further testing and comparison to alternative theories - just as any other ideas are.
