We're only number in one in spending money, not in getting quality health care, regardless of what the patriots over at FOX News would like you to think. Blind nationalism is not a health care plan.

Well I heard on CNN that the world health organization voted The good old USA number one in health care over any other country... we must be doing something right...

believerme: got to be more to the story than that. The WHO - and all international health organizations - have consistently rated the USA 23rd or 27th - almost the worst among the industrialized nations.
If you have money, healthcare in the USA is terrific. But there are places in our nation where care access is 3rd-world poor; about a fifth of our nation has no health insurance; 18,000 of our neighbors die prematurely from lack of regular preventive care each year.
NO OTHER INDUSTRIALIZED COUNTRY IS THIS INEQUITABLE, BY FAR.
