This clip, for me personally, John, is most interesting. Thank you for the discovery (double entendre intended ).

I often read in Sruti and Smriti (e.g., Upanishads and Baghavad Gita) the two authoritative sources of Hinduism, that when we die, we lose our senses in the reverse order in which we received them.

"We first lose sight, then taste , smell and touch, and finally, hearing is the last sense to leave the body at death. The human mind remains conscious for 15-20 seconds even after that."
