When weighing a painting, imagine trying to weigh it without the canvas. Why should we consider a canvas when it's almost impossible to know its there. But it is heavier than the paint. Were quite happy to declare the projected 'weight' of the universe, when we still haven't exactly determined the exact definition of weight and mass. Quantum physics only suggests how much we have to learn before we can take our definitions seriously.
