Barbaric!

Exactly the word that I was thinking. I'm against any circumcision but female circumcision is particularly barbaric.

If male circumcision involved the risk and the mutilation involved with female circumcision then males would stop this. If male circumcision turned males into eunuchs as is done to females then this practice would stop yesterday! How can a father or husband have this done and claim to love the female?!

Remember where this takes place. Women are NOT afforded the same rights as men in many of the far east countries. Walking x number of paces behind men, birkas, and denial of schooling. They are nothing but brood mares for thier twisted society. And outrage over FGM? It's a much bigger problem.

That is religious rite for you.

...and you would be surprised how badly some supposed democratic countries in the Middle East treat their females! There are even cases of ladies committing suicide from the mistreatment they got from their religious leaders in trying to be separated from their husbands.
