It's always amazing the number of books that were once banned that are now classics. They told us things we didn't want to hear, but we needed to listen. Once we began to listen it became clear they were not about things we needed to be afraid of, but problems that needed to be solved. The least they did was challenge a comfortable view of the world, that did not deserve to be so relaxed until we had faced the challenges detailed in the books.
