Wisco says: Does this mean I don't have to hear "OBAMA SUCKS!" every five minutes on the teevee machine? Sadly, no. While a pullout from Wisconsin is a significant strategic move, it does not represent a full GOP retreat from the state. McCain's campaign has notified Wisconsin stations that it planned to continue to buy air time through Oct. 26.At least it will be a peaceful Halloween... WOW! Yeah, this is what you want to have come out right before a final crucial debate. Way to go, John! Can he take Sensenbrenner and Darling with him as he goes, please? That would make Wisconsin a much better place to live. I agree BB. Even though I'm not in Sensenbrenner's district, he's as much an embarrassment to the whole state as McCarthy was. My front door is posted "No Electioneering!" It's funny. I live in Arizona which is where McCain comes from. He's our Senator. Arizona will absolutely certainly vote Republican again and again. So --- we don't have a single presidential ad. The Obama campaign here wants us to go to Colorado and New Mexico if we want to campaign. Because of the winner-take-all nature of the Electoral college my vote for Obama will be meaningless. But vote we will. And his popularity may make it possible to wrestle away a House Seat. Your vote may not win Obama Arizona, but it can help make the victory less sweet for McCain the narrower the margin. McCain is not retreating, he is merely smearing in a different direction. Isn't that what BS does? Smear? Yes, yes...I've been annoying McCain for some time now. Funny enough, he seems to brush it off and ignore it pretty well. Getting defeated in an election will certainly give him a sting though, even if I have to thank my fellow citizens from CO, NM, NV, VA, OH, FL, NC or whereever for doing so. And hopefully a few words here and there will spill over borders and help. We do what we can. We're all so lucky that there are millions and millions more who do as much, or much more. The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday, Oct 18 shows Barack Obama attracting 50% of the vote while John McCain earns 45%. These figures reflect a remarkably stable race in which Obama has enjoyed a four-to-eight point advantage for twenty-three straight days. McCain has not been up by even a single point in over a month. I guess/estimate 277 Electoral votes, minimum, for Obama. 306 Electoral votes for Obama would seem reasonable to expect. Maybe 58-60 Democrats in the Senate. Things certainly look good, that's for sure. (Although supporters have to work harder and harder to turn out and encourage voting up until the Finish Line...like Obama points out) |
