Wedding cake will never taste the same to me!

That's brilliant! There's many wedding traditions that just aren't that important - the cake is one of them. I say fake it and save the cash - it'll make for a great story! A little bit of theatre for a lot of savings on something that's going to be eaten and forgotten in a few minutes anyway.

People who make the cakes will be unnecessary on the future ... the next step involves changing the birthday cakes for the fakes

Towering over Liberty Island in New York, the Statue of Liberty was a finalist in the campaign to choose the New 7 Wonders of the World.

If the last paragraph I excerpted pans out into more than "scattered reports," then the theocracy will be on its last legs. Fraternization of the forces of order with the people they're supposed to be putting in order has been the death-knell of regimes from that of Louis XV to Czar Nicholas II to East Germany (1989).

I’ve always been a fan of Mr. Rogers. His trip around the world on a Motorcycle is an experience in itself. What an adventure that must have been. As for Bernanke and Greenspan, Jim is so correct. Bernanke is just one of many from Goldman Sachs that now is part of the Obama the Joker administration. Bernanke is just helping out his fat cat friends the same that Obama claims to be opposed to. What a charade. I love Jim Rogers sense of humour , I usually follow all his interviews from this blog http://www.JimRogers.tk

Re: Kelika's Clip-Stealth boat Ady Gil
mcsmithblack
by mcsmithblack  Yesterday 7:14 PM    1
Intriguing clip by Kelika led me to do a little research. More from the article below: "Now the newly-renamed vessel has been unveiled as the Sea Shepherd's new weapon in the organisation's sixth campaign against whaling, Operation Waltzing Mathilda, which will launch from Australia early next month. The craft, which is capable of up to 50 knots, will be used to intercept and physically block harpoon ships from illegally slaughtering whales. The Ady Gil and the Steve Irwin are the two remaining ships in the Sea Shepherd Society’s fleet. A third vessel – the Farley Mowat – was sent to protest against Canadian seal hunting last year and was seized by offiicials."

Why not give if you can
cici-ristic

I work at the hospital as a blood transfusion technician and every day I see people whose lives depend on our awareness, humanity and generosity. Not all of us can make this gift to others due to various health reasons but we can remind our friends that perhaps they could help. Here are some interesting facts: -1 pint of blood can save up to 3 lives -Every 2 seconds someone needs a blood transfusion -5 million patients in he US need blood every year -Less than 38 percent of the population is eligible to give blood -Blood cannot be manufactured; it can only come from volunteer donors -30 million blood components are transfused each year -Platelets, critical for cancer patients, have a shelf life of only 5 days -Adults have 10-12 pints of blood in their body - 1 pints is given during a donation -Donors can give blood every 56 days. Platelet donors can give every 3 days

Death Toll Rises to 10 as Clashes in Iran Intensify
merrie
by merrie  Today 1:45 AM    1
of the protests so far. The Shah’s forces never fired on protesters during Ashura, wary of violating the day’s sanctity. Obama Silent as Iranians Die for Freedom Iranian youth no longer chant “death to America.” Now they shout “death to the dictators” as they trample photos of Iran’s Supreme Leader. They also chant “Obama are you with us or with them ?” The reaction from the White House to the latest violence and the calls for recognition of the freedom movement? Silence. Once again, Obama doesn’t want to rock the boat with his hopes for a deal with the mad Mullahs who hold the Iranian people hostage to their warped ideology. Why won’t Obama adopt Reagan’s successful Cold War winning strategy? Because he was raised by a cadre of leftists who despised Reagan and resented the application of U.S. power especially when it was aimed at the Soviet Union with which many of Obama’s mentors and family had great sympathy.
