Betcha that's one nasty-ass bug. Wouldn't want it living in my nuclear waste dump, that's for sure.

Ut oh.

You know, did any one ever find it funny that any Batman villain who was exposed to toxic waste gained super powers, while when I am exposed to toxic waste I just get cancer and die.

Now, I'm a Buddhist, and a pacifist, but I have to admit, the first thing I think when I hear of a bug that lives in nuclear waste is: then how do we kill it?
5-20-2007 9:09 AM
sohil
For some reason I just thought of Antibiotic Resistant Tuberculosis. The more we try to kill it, the more evolved it is.

ouyangwulong, I don't think it's smart to "kill" in a chemical way, we'll only end up starting a chemical war between Nature and Humans with Nature one-upping us every turn. Maybe a more ecological or out of the box idea like leaving this thing on moon

ouyangwulong
Of course, I'm not actually planning on killing it, I was just thinking in the Batman / Sci-fi movie paradigm.

But, I must say, the moon sounds good. Or heck, send it to Venus. It's not like we're going to use that planet for anything anyway!

"Greenish-orange slime"? Why do those colors sound familiar?
I pretty much became familiar with color at a very young age playing with crayons, so I cannot answer that question for you.

What I was trying to get at is the synergy between nature and Clipmarks. (Note: not the slime in question. )

She needs help
xpersianx
by xpersianx  Yesterday 12:43 PM    2
She says : If you do turn out to be my match, all I will need is some of the stem cells of your blood to be transferred to my body. This still doesn't require surgery, only a little bit of your blood. These past few months of hardship have caused me to reach the end of my rope. I am unsure how much longer I have to live. But what I do know is that the one thing that can save my life is a matching donor. And with someone like you, I am unwilling to lose hope! I desperately need your help and kind support in finding my match.

The Holiday Gift This Country Needs
debbyski
by debbyski  Yesterday 10:18 AM    4
"We also need to invest in our infrastructure, and not just the obvious physical things like our old bridges and trains but more importantly our human infrastructure. We must continue to push for "Medicare Part E - Everybody" - so we can rebuild the social safety net to encourage entrepreneurialism - and along those lines let's fix the bankruptcy bill, and strengthen social security. Finally, we need to think of work differently. Lincoln once said that labor is superior to capital because it precedes it. Nobody gets rich until somebody makes something. We once had an economy that valued laborers - the true producers of wealth - and the middle class. You know. almost everything on this gift list was, in their day, enthusiastically endorsed by Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower. And Barry Goldwater. And Richard Nixon. Somehow this country went insane in 1981 when Reagan took power and declared that "greed was good" and America was to be reinvented."

Once we used to fight over smaller problems Collecting money and drinking together Once we used to share our sadness drinking tea near old hotels Helping each other with assignments Feeling bored with never changing climates Those golden times will never again come, beloved friends But I will still remember you just being there Looking towards one another and cracking jokes to one another Happy holidays to my beloved friends For now, forever in eternity Either you belong here or you live in other lands Friendship goes far beyond any lands or boundaries Our love will remain forever floating Like the wind in the lonely desert Just want to drop few lines and say Happy, happy holidays to my beloved friends Either near or far, either on the Internet or in some foreign lands Either near me or never with me I know you all belong very close to me Happy holidays to my all beloved friends
